Graduation events disrupt UIC campus traffic through mid-June

Graduations at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) Forum and Credit Union 1 Arena will continue to affect parking and traffic in the area until June 15. The events are expected to cause increased traffic and possible rerouting near these venues.

For those attending graduations at the UIC Forum, parking in Lot 5 and Lot 6 may be affected on several dates: Thursday, June 5 from 1 to 10 p.m., Friday, June 6 from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 7 from 8 a.m. to noon, Thursday, June 12 from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Similarly, graduations at Credit Union 1 Arena will impact parking in the Harrison Street Parking Structure as well as Lots 1B, Lot 1, and Lot 11 on Wednesday, June 4 from 6 to10 p.m., Saturday, June7from noonto3p.m.,andSundayJune8from11a .m.to3p .m.

Parking personnel will direct drivers arriving on campus when their usual lot is closed. It is advised that individuals carry their valid UIC i-card and hangtag for presentation upon request. For those without monthly parking passes, daily rates are available at alternative lots.
