Northwestern appoints Susan Howe, Christina Kosmowski, Daryl Morey as new trustees

Northwestern University has announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Trustees: Susan Howe, Christina Kosmowski, and Daryl Morey.

Susan Howe is the CEO of The Weber Shandwick Collective (TWSC), a global communications and advisory network. Under her leadership, TWSC has served Fortune 500 companies across various industries and received recognition such as PRWeek’s Global Agency of the Year and PRovoke’s Global Agency of the Decade. The agency has also been listed on Ad Age’s A-List and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies several times, accumulating more than 250 Cannes Lions awards.

Howe has played a significant role in expanding TWSC's services, including integrating data, technology, and AI into marketing strategies through initiatives like Weber I/O. She has also led efforts in corporate affairs with Weber Advisory and influencer marketing via Weber Create. Howe's achievements have earned her honors such as Ad Age Leading Women honoree and PRWeek Global Agency Professional of the Year. She is part of Fortune’s CEO Initiative and the CNBC CEO Council.

A graduate of Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, Howe was inducted into the Medill Hall of Achievement in 2025. She serves on several boards including the Sheppard Pratt Foundation and the Northwestern Alumni Association.

Christina Kosmowski is CEO of LogicMonitor, where she leads efforts to develop an AI-first observability platform for global enterprises. LogicMonitor operates in over 30 countries and processes more than 1.5 trillion metrics daily. Previously, Kosmowski held senior roles at Slack—where she contributed to growing revenue from $90 million to over $1 billion—and Salesforce, where she helped expand business from $20 million to over $10 billion in revenue.

Kosmowski is a founding partner at Operator Collective, a venture firm investing in enterprise software companies. She also sits on the boards of Rapid7 and Nasuni. An alumna of Northwestern’s McCormick School of Engineering, she continues her involvement with advisory roles at both McCormick Advisory Council and Farley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Daryl Morey serves as president of Basketball Operations for the Philadelphia 76ers. Entering his sixth season with the team, Morey has overseen consistent postseason appearances for the franchise along with successful draft selections such as Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain. Over his NBA executive career spanning 18 years—including time with both Houston Rockets and Philadelphia—Morey's teams have compiled an overall record ranking him among top executives by win percentage.

Morey co-founded the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference to promote innovation in sports management through analytics—a field he remains active in alongside his role as Alumni Regent at Northwestern.
