Ryan Greene signs three-year deal with Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks have finalized an agreement with forward Ryan Greene on a three-year entry-level contract. This deal will extend through the 2026-27 season and includes a $950,000 annual salary cap hit.

Greene, a 21-year-old athlete, achieved 38 points, including 13 goals and 25 assists, over 40 games in his junior season at Boston University during the 2024-25 period. His performance was instrumental in guiding the team to the National Championship. As team captain, Greene completed the season ranked third in assists and points, and fourth in goals on his team, marking personal career highs in each of these categories.

Ryan Greene is originally from St. Johns, Newfoundland and Labrador. Over his collegiate career at Boston University from 2022 to 2025, he collected 104 points across 118 NCAA games. During his freshman year, he earned a spot on the Hockey East All-Rookie Team and contributed to the team's wins in the Hockey East Regular-Season and Tournament Championships.

Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 192 pounds, Greene entered the professional ranks after being selected by the Blackhawks in the second round, 57th overall, of the 2022 NHL Draft.
