The Chicago Blackhawks have released their opening night roster for the 2025-26 season, which marks the team’s centennial year. The roster consists of 23 players, including 13 forwards, eight defensemen, and two goaltenders.

The forwards named to the roster are Connor Bedard, Tyler Bertuzzi, Andre Burakovsky, Colton Dach, Jason Dickinson, Ryan Donato, Nick Foligno, Ryan Greene, Sam Lafferty, Ilya Mikheyev, Frank Nazar, Lukas Reichel, and Teuvo Teravainen.

Defensemen include Louis Crevier, Ethan Del Mastro, Matt Grzelcyk, Wyatt Kaiser, Artyom Levshunov, Connor Murphy, Sam Rinzel, and Alex Vlasic. The two goaltenders on the list are Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom.

Three players will not be available at the start of the season due to injury. Forward Landon Slaggert is on injured reserve with a lower body injury. Forward Joey Anderson and goaltender Laurent Brossoit will also miss time as they begin the season with an injured/non-roster designation due to lower body injuries.

The Blackhawks will open their centennial season against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday, October 7 at Amerant Bank Arena. The game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. CT/5:00 p.m. ET and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN as well as on WGN Radio.
