Karen Colley Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs | University Of Illinois At Chicago
The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) will host Coach K for a "Chair Chat" on April 14 at 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Isadore and Sadie Dorin Forum, located at 725 W. Roosevelt Road. Those who already hold tickets are advised that these will be automatically transferred to the new date. Ticket holders can access their tickets through Ticketmaster by using their registered email and password.
Individuals seeking refunds can contact arenatix@uic.edu, while questions regarding the event can be directed to chairchats@uic.edu. Registration is necessary for all attendees, and the process, along with question submission, will remain open until midnight on April 10, unless capacity is reached sooner. Walk-in registrations will not be accepted.
The Chair Chats series aims to engage the UIC community and the public with influential visionaries, fostering discussion on pressing issues to align with UIC’s mission. The series has a focus on achieving educational, research, and clinical excellence in Chicago and beyond.
Tickets are free for the UIC community, including staff, faculty, and students who must reserve their single ticket via Ticketmaster using a UIC email address. A Ticketmaster account must be associated with their UIC email. Each UIC account is limited to one ticket. The process for obtaining these tickets involves logging into Ticketmaster, selecting a free ticket, and checking out.
Non-UIC guests are required to pay $20 per ticket. This fee supports the UIC Aspire program, which aids first-year and transfer students from Illinois with tuition and mandatory fees. Additionally, a private reception with Coach K will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. after the main event, costing $250 per ticket. This reception ticket includes a $175 tax-deductible donation to UIC Aspire.
Doors for the main event open at 3 p.m. Attendees must present their tickets at the entrance to the Dorin Forum, where the tickets will be scanned. Any ticket issues should be addressed at the event, and attendees should have a UIC ID or driver’s license on hand.
Parking in Lot 5 at 1135 S. Morgan St. will be complimentary for those with a UIC parking tag. Parking passes will also be available at the check-in table for those needing them. In terms of security, bags larger than 14 by 6 inches are prohibited. All attendees are required to pass through an Evolv Security Scanner upon entry, and certain items may be subject to search.
Tickets must be presented at check-in to access the event.
