Chicago Blackhawks reassign Andreas Athanasiou to Rockford IceHogs

The Chicago Blackhawks have announced the reassignment of forward Andreas Athanasiou to the Rockford IceHogs, a team in the American Hockey League.

Athanasiou, who is 30 years old, has participated in eight NHL games with the Blackhawks during the current 2024-25 season, where he scored one goal. In addition, he has accumulated 16 points from eight goals and eight assists over 16 AHL games with the IceHogs this season.

The Blackhawks are scheduled to face off against the Utah Hockey Club at the United Center tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on CHSN and can be heard on WGN Radio and Latino Media Network radio, 1200 WRTO-AM.
