Blackhawks recall Athanasiou and Kaiser from IceHogs for upcoming game

The Chicago Blackhawks have announced roster changes ahead of their upcoming game against the Anaheim Ducks. The team has recalled forward Andreas Athanasiou and defenseman Wyatt Kaiser from the Rockford IceHogs, their affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In a corresponding move, defenseman Nolan Allan has been assigned to Rockford.

Athanasiou, who is 30 years old, has participated in five NHL games with the Blackhawks this season. In the AHL, he has recorded 16 points, including eight goals and eight assists, over 16 games with the IceHogs.

Wyatt Kaiser, aged 22, has played in a career-high 35 NHL games during the current season. He has accumulated three points, comprising one goal and two assists. Notably, Kaiser scored his first NHL goal on January 5 against the New York Rangers. Additionally, he has contributed three assists in 17 AHL games with Rockford.

The Blackhawks are set to face off against the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center. The game will start at 7:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. CT and can be viewed on CHSN or listened to on WGN Radio.
