Blackhawks activate Craig Smith; assign two players to Rockford IceHogs

The Chicago Blackhawks have announced the activation of forward Craig Smith from injured reserve. Smith, who has been dealing with a back injury, is set to rejoin the team. In addition, the Blackhawks have reassigned forward Colton Dach and defenseman Artyom Levshunov to the Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League.

Smith, 35, has participated in 30 games this season for the Blackhawks, contributing 11 points through six goals and five assists. This marks his first season with the team.

The Blackhawks are scheduled to face off against the Edmonton Oilers tonight at 8:30 p.m. CT at the United Center. The game will be broadcast nationally on TNT/TruTV/MAX and can be heard on WGN Radio as well as in Spanish on Latino Media Network radio, 1200 WRTO-AM.
