Jonathan Ozeran, vice president of generative AI at Tempus, has been elected to the Board of Trustees at Illinois Institute of Technology. Ozeran brings experience in artificial intelligence, digital health, and entrepreneurship to the university's leadership.
At Tempus, a company focused on precision medicine using AI, Ozeran leads the strategy and deployment of applied and generative AI across various disease areas. He oversees commercialization and scaling of clinical tools powered by AI. Under his leadership, Tempus grew from an early-stage startup to a large health technology enterprise with more than 4,000 employees. Ozeran also launched the Tempus One AI assistant and developed multimodal data platforms while establishing partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and academic medical centers.
Ozeran commented on his new role: “I am honored and excited to join the Illinois Tech Board of Trustees. Before joining Tempus, Ozeran held product and technology roles in several sectors including media, enterprise mobility, human capital technology, and digital health. He was part of Yello’s founding engineering team during its growth phase and held leadership positions at Tribune Interactive, Lextech, and Zest Health.

Ozeran is active in Chicago's tech sector as an advisor for startups and as a judge for university competitions such as those hosted by University of Chicago New Venture Challenge. He chairs a subcommittee within The Economic Club of Chicago.

Ozeran holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University in computer information systems as well as a bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan in political science. He also serves on Illinois Tech College of Computing's Board of Advisors.
