Blackhawks assign Joey Anderson to Rockford IceHogs after injury recovery

The Chicago Blackhawks have announced that forward Joey Anderson has been activated from injured non-roster status and assigned to the Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League.

Anderson, 27, recorded one assist in 18 games with the Blackhawks during the current season. Last season, he scored 27 points, including 17 goals and 10 assists, in 33 games with the IceHogs. He was third on the team in goals.

The Blackhawks are scheduled to play against the Anaheim Ducks at the United Center tonight at 6:00 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on CHSN and WGN Radio.
