UIC Human Resources is offering a series of webinars and virtual workshops throughout July, aimed at enhancing professional development for UIC employees. These sessions are free unless otherwise specified and cover a range of topics relevant to staff, faculty, administrators, supervisors, and human resource representatives.
Among the courses available for all UIC staff and faculty are "Work-Life Balance: Achieving Productivity Without Sacrificing Your Well-Being," scheduled for July 8 at 11 a.m., and a three-part series titled "Tame Your Inbox: Tips for Managing Outlook Emails Efficiently," with sessions on July 10, 15, and 16 at 11 a.m. An introductory course on emotional intelligence will be held on July 30 at 11 a.m., followed by "Emotional Intelligence: Developing Empathy" on July 31 at the same time.
For those in administrative or supervisory roles, courses include "Coaching through Change: Managing Emotions and Overcoming Obstacles" on July 8 at 1 p.m., "Setting Goals and Expectations" on both July 9 at 1 p.m. and July 29 at 10 a.m., as well as an "Employee Performance Program Overview" on July 22 at 10 a.m. Additional sessions such as "Having Development Conversations" and "Writing and Delivering Performance Reviews" are also scheduled.
