University of Illinois announces FY26 holiday schedule

The University of Illinois has announced the schedule for approved holidays for fiscal year 2026. The dates of December 24, 30, and 31, 2025, have been designated as gift days by President Killeen and the university chancellors. Additionally, December 29 is marked as a president-designated holiday.

Employees at the University of Illinois Hospital & Clinics will receive these gift days and the president-designated holiday as additional floating holidays. These can be used anytime between December 24, 2025, and June 30, 2026, with supervisor approval. This policy aims to maintain high-quality patient care during the holiday season while ensuring consistent seven-day-a-week coverage.

A reminder regarding the December gift days will be sent out in November.
