In December, the Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Countering Human Trafficking held a webinar focusing on human trafficking on college campuses. Faculty members participated actively, asking insightful questions throughout the session. As the spring semester begins, information from this briefing is being shared, including presentation slides and resources for faculty who might identify signs of human trafficking. Materials are also available for distribution to student leaders.

For reporting suspected cases of human trafficking, individuals can contact 1-866-347-2423. This tip line operates around the clock every day of the year with specialists trained to handle reports related to over 400 laws enforced by Homeland Security Investigations.

Victims seeking assistance can reach out to the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text HELP to BeFree (233733). This hotline offers connections to service providers nationwide and provides training and technical support. It operates independently from law enforcement as a nongovernmental organization funded by federal resources.
