Nominations are open for the 53rd Annual Chancellor’s Student Service and Leadership Awards. The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is calling on students, faculty, and staff to nominate exceptional undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who have contributed significantly to the campus or community service.
The awards include the Chancellor’s Student Service Award for volunteer service to UIC and/or the community, the Eugertha Bates Memorial Award for humanitarian commitment, the Jane Addams Distinguished Service Award for creativity, innovation, or length of service, the International Student Ambassador Service Award, Activities Honorary Society recognition, and Student Organization Awards.
Nominations for individual student awards will be accepted online until Sunday, February 9. For student organization awards, nominations are open until Friday, February 28. Nominators are encouraged to provide detailed descriptions of nominees' contributions relevant to each award. Bulk nominations are permitted only for the Chancellor’s Student Service Award through a specific bulk nomination form.
Nominees must verify their contact information via email before their nomination is considered complete. All nominees must be in good academic standing. Students can nominate themselves or others.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 24 at 5 p.m. in the Illinois Room at Student Center East. Recipients will be recognized individually with their nominators invited to attend.
