The University of Illinois Chicago has announced the opening of nominations for the 2025-26 faculty awards. The nomination process, shared with deans, includes several internal awards to recognize outstanding faculty contributions.

For contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion, the Faculty Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award offers a $5,000 payment. Nominations are also due by March 24, with Karen Coicou available for questions.

The Piergiorgio L.E. Uslenghi Global Engagement Faculty Awards acknowledge contributions to global engagement beyond essential responsibilities. Nominations are due by February 21 and questions can be sent to Shellie Brown at shelliec@uic.edu.
UIC Distinguished Professor appointments recognize significant impact through scholarship and leadership. Recommendations will be made to Provost Karen Colley and Vice Chancellor Robert Barish before submission to the University Board of Trustees. Nominations are due by February 21 with Elizabeth Houlihan as the contact person.
Finally, the University Scholars program enters its 38th year, supporting six faculty members who excel in research and teaching over three years. Nominations close on February 21 with further information available from Elizabeth Houlihan.
