Pat Foley and Jeremy Roenick appointed as Chicago Blackhawks ambassadors

Former Chicago Blackhawks TV announcer Pat Foley and former player Jeremy Roenick have been named as team Ambassadors, according to an announcement from the organization. They join current Ambassadors Chris Chelios, Troy Murray, and Denis Savard in representing the Blackhawks at various fan, partner, and community events.

Ambassadors are tasked with making appearances on game days, attending exclusive season ticket member events, participating in Blackhawks content, and engaging in community outreach. Their role is to interact directly with fans and help strengthen the Blackhawks community. The Ambassadors will also contribute to efforts aimed at growing hockey interest across Chicagoland, both among fans and players. Additionally, they will participate in activities related to the team's Centennial celebration this season.

Blackhawks President of Business Operations Jaime Faulkner commented on the new appointments: “The Centennial season has provided us the perfect opportunity to showcase our commitment to building and maintaining relationships with all of our incredible alumni and their remarkable connection to the fans that make up the Blackhawks community. We are constantly striving to create new and exciting ways for our fans to engage with our alumni, and the Ambassador program has allowed us to do just that while also providing additional leadership amongst our alumni group.”

Pat Foley served as the voice of the Blackhawks for 39 years between 1981-2022. His career includes induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014 where he received the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award for outstanding contributions in hockey broadcasting. Foley was also inducted into the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame in 2002 and won five Emmy Awards during his career.

Jeremy Roenick was selected by Chicago in the first round (8th overall) of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. He played eight seasons with Chicago, recording 596 points (267 goals, 329 assists) over 524 regular-season games. Roenick ranks ninth all-time in franchise history for goals scored and eleventh for total points with Chicago. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2024 after a career that included time with several NHL teams; among American-born players he stands fourth all-time in goals scored.
