Wolcott Avenue to close Sept. 27 for crane operation at College of Medicine West Tower

Due to scheduled crane work at the College of Medicine West Tower, Wolcott Avenue will be closed between Taylor and Polk streets on Saturday, September 27, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The closure is necessary for equipment replacement at the facility.

Barricades will be set up to prevent access to Wolcott Avenue during these hours. A flagger will direct vehicle traffic in the area. The sidewalk on the east side of Wolcott Avenue will also be closed, restricting pedestrian movement.

The university advises pedestrians to avoid the area entirely while work is underway. "To ensure safety, please proceed with caution when in the area. Pedestrians should completely avoid the area if possible."

The university has thanked the community for its cooperation during this maintenance period.
