Chicagoland Chamber hosts annual Golf Classic with focus on networking and community

The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce held its 2025 Golf Classic on August 26, bringing together more than 100 business and civic leaders from the Chicago area. The event featured a day of golf, networking, and support for the local business community.

Jack Lavin, President and CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, welcomed attendees at the start of the event. He acknowledged the presenting sponsor as well as other partners and sponsors who contributed to organizing the Golf Classic before participants began their rounds.

Golfers took part in several contests throughout the day, including hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin, and longest drive competitions. Prizes were awarded to top performers in each category. One highlight was a special contest sponsored by American Airlines that offered participants a chance to win 200,000 miles and 30,000 World of Hyatt points.

Sponsors set up activations around the course with refreshments, giveaways, and opportunities for attendees to connect. A notable feature this year was an Infusion Bar at the Halfway House sponsored by The Infusion Bar. It provided wellness infusions with hydration, electrolytes, and nutrients to help players recover after their rounds.

At the end of play, guests attended a reception where remarks were made by a Vice President for O’Hare International Airport. Speakers discussed the recent opening of a new terminal wing at O’Hare International Airport and emphasized its economic significance for both American Airlines and Chicago’s business community. The expansion is expected to increase capacity and improve global connectivity for travelers using O’Hare International Airport (https://www.flychicago.com/business/pages/terminalprojects.aspx).

In closing remarks, Jack Lavin encouraged attendees to mark their calendars for another upcoming Chamber event scheduled for November 17 at Hilton Chicago. As guests departed, they had additional time to network and reflect on what organizers described as another successful signature event for the Chamber.

The Chicagoland Chamber expressed appreciation to all sponsors and attendees who participated in making this year’s Golf Classic possible.
