Welcome Week activities are underway at City Colleges of Chicago, marking the start of the Fall 2025 semester. Each of the seven colleges is hosting events aimed at helping students connect with campus resources and build community.
At Harold Washington College, students are being welcomed with a breakfast and a Student Involvement Fair to introduce opportunities for engagement. Harry S Truman College’s First Year Experience team is offering guidance on academic skills and campus navigation, along with a New Student Convocation and Welcome Picnic.
Kennedy-King College is holding its New Student Convocation to foster campus pride. Malcolm X College has organized an orientation session for student leaders that focuses on leadership development and event planning, including food and giveaways.
Olive-Harvey College’s Welcome Back Jamboree features music, games, and social events like an ice cream social and speed-friending to help students form connections. Richard J. Daley College is running a week of activities starting with a session on using student planners, followed by Welcome Days on the Patio and Club Information Days.
Wilbur Wright College encourages participation in community-building activities such as human bingo and meetings with members of the Student Government Association.
