Navy Pier announces diverse lineup of fall events for autumn season

Navy Pier in Chicago is set to introduce a new lineup of fall events for 2025, combining new activities with returning favorites. The program aims to engage visitors with local artists, musicians, and culinary talent through a range of family-friendly and cultural events.

Among the highlights are two live performances aboard City Cruises on Lake Michigan. Country singer Randy Houser will perform on September 4, followed by Colt Ford on September 28. Both shows offer guests an opportunity to experience live music with views of the city skyline.

The Chicago Children’s Museum will host “Take Care with Peanuts: The Exhibit” starting September 13. This interactive exhibit features characters from Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts comic strip and focuses on themes such as self-care, empathy, and environmental stewardship.

Chicago Live!, described as the Midwest’s largest free performing arts festival, returns for its fifth year on September 20-21 at Navy Pier. More than 100 artists and ensembles will participate in the two-day event, which includes world premieres from groups like Giordano Dance Chicago and Lake Shore Symphony Orchestra. A fireworks show is scheduled for Saturday night at 9 p.m.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater will present several productions throughout the fall season. From September 23 to October 19, Q Brothers Collective brings “Rome Sweet Rome,” a satirical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar set to hip hop beats. From October 8 to November 2, audiences can attend “Paranormal Activity,” a play inspired by the film franchise.

On September 26, DJ Carl Cox headlines an open-air dance event at Navy Pier alongside John Digweed and others. Dabin, a Toronto-based musician known for blending acoustic and electronic music styles, will perform at Navy Pier’s Event Center East End Plaza on October 4.

The Slow & Low Lowrider Festival returns October 11 with over 250 custom cars, bikes, and motorcycles in what organizers describe as more than just a car show—a gathering celebrating lowrider culture.

A special event aboard City Cruises takes place October 17 featuring former Chicago Bears players Brian Urlacher, Rex Grossman, and Alex Brown recounting stories from their football careers during an evening cruise that includes dinner and drinks.

Navy Pier continues to position itself as a year-round destination by offering daily programming that appeals to various interests within the community.
