University Illinois of Chicago opens applications for Fall 2025 Proof of Concept Award

Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2025 Proof of Concept Award at the University Illinois of Chicago. The program is open to full-time faculty, staff, or researchers who have a technology disclosure on file with the Office of Technology Management. Only those who received awards in Fall 2024 are eligible to apply for Phase II funding, which can be up to $150,000.

Project milestones will be developed together with a technology manager from the Office of Technology Management. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on September 8, 2025. A technology disclosure must be filed before this deadline; otherwise, applications will not be considered.

Applicants can find detailed instructions and eligibility information on the Office of Technology Management website. They are encouraged to reach out to their assigned technology manager to discuss their application and submit disclosures online.
