University of Chicago investigates antisemitic sign complaint

The University of Chicago is addressing a complaint received on March 29, indicating that a faculty member had displayed an antisemitic sign inside a first-floor office near a window. Upon discussions with the faculty member, the sign was voluntarily removed.

The University has initiated an investigation following its non-discrimination policy. "Discrimination and harassment are antithetical to the University of Chicago’s values and have no place in our community," the University stated.

The investigation aims to uphold the institution's commitment to maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment for all community members.
