Today, the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation announced that 20 students from City Colleges of Chicago are semifinalists for the prestigious Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. This scholarship is highly competitive and provides recipients with up to $55,000 annually for two to three years to attend a four-year college or university.
A total of 467 semifinalists were selected this year from over 1,600 applicants representing 212 community colleges across 43 states. The City Colleges students make up more than half of the 34 semifinalists chosen from Illinois.
The following City Colleges students have been recognized as semifinalists:

The recipients of the scholarship will be announced in May.
