Amazon.com Inc. and its partners organized a holiday event on December 16 at XS Tennis in Chicago, distributing over 350 STEM toys and meals to families. This initiative was in collaboration with Ada S. McKinley Community Services and State Senator Mattie Hunter.
According to a news release from Ada S. McKinley Community Services, hundreds of turkeys were distributed to families and seniors at the XS Tennis and Education Foundation located on 53rd & State Street during the holiday giveaway event. Led by Senator Hunter and supported by local partners, the giveaway was part of ongoing efforts to provide food resources to the community.
During the event, Amazon distributed 350 STEM toys in collaboration with Wondery Toys as part of its initiative to support local communities. The company said that the giveaway also included contributions from additional partners and aimed to provide resources and holiday cheer to families and seniors in the area.
Licensing International reported that in October, Wondery launched its first toy line inspired by the podcast "Wow in the World." The collection includes STEM kits, dinosaur figurines, and story time toys paired with audio content from podcast hosts Guy Raz and Mindy Thomas. These products are available on the Wondery Kids Amazon storefront and at retailers such as Learning Express and Barnes & Noble. The launch is part of the "Make it WOW" campaign, which features promotions for National STEM Day, National STEAM Month, and the "Holiday of WOW" in December, celebrating hands-on exploration of science and curiosity.
