Amazon has partnered with the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance (PRAA) to sponsor the National Coquito Festival. The announcement was made in Chicago on December 7.
According to the PRAA website, Amazon served as the presenting sponsor of the festival, which took place on Saturday, December 7. The event highlighted coquito, a traditional coconut-based beverage, and its cultural significance.
The celebration featured Puerto Rican traditions such as music, dancing, and Parrandas with cabezudos. The event also included a coquito competition, where Luna’s Coquito won the top prize. Attendees enjoyed traditional food, cultural performances, and a raffle.
"Gracias! to everyone who joined and supported," PRAA said on Facebook. "Your energy and contributions help us make a difference and kick off the holiday season with joy!"
For 25 years, PRAA has engaged over 30,000 participants annually through music, arts education, performances, and exhibitions. It operates three community centers in Chicago—the PRAA Center & Gallery, the Humboldt Park Field House, and the Latin Music Project Center—and partners with Chicago Public Schools to provide students with access to artistic programs. Its National Cuatro Festival celebrates Puerto Rican culture and heritage and has won an Emmy Award.
