Blackhawks recall Frank Nazar from Rockford IceHogs

The Chicago Blackhawks have announced the recall of forward Frank Nazar from the Rockford IceHogs, their affiliate in the American Hockey League. In conjunction with this move, defenseman Alec Martinez has been placed on injured reserve due to a neck injury, effective retroactively from December 7.

Nazar, aged 20, is leading all AHL rookies with 11 goals and 24 points over 21 games this season. His performance places him sixth among all AHL skaters in points and seventh in goals across the league. Previously, Nazar participated in three games for the Blackhawks during the 2023-24 season, marking his NHL debut with a goal against Carolina on April 14.

The Blackhawks are set to face off against the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. ET/12:00 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on CHSN and available on WGN Radio.

Upcoming home games for the Blackhawks include matches against the Islanders on December 15 at 2:00 p.m., Capitals on December 17 at 7:30 p.m., Kraken on December 19 at 7:30 p.m., and Stars on December 29 at 7:30 p.m., as part of their "Home for the Holidays" series.
