Youths in the Chicagoland area will receive essential winter necessities, including clothing, hygiene kits, and school supplies, following a collaboration between Amazon Good and Cradles to Crayons. This initiative was announced in an October 28 news release.
According to the release, a 53-foot trailer transported over 4,200 clothing items and 1,320 winter coats to help local children stay warm this winter. Additionally, the delivery included 250 hygiene kits for children and 100 for infants. The shipment also contained 864 packs of baby wipes and 200 backpacks filled with school supplies. The children's hygiene kits comprise soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrushes, while the infant kits include lotion, baby bath products, soap, and shampoo.
The items were delivered on October 28 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. The partnership between Amazon Good—a pro bono logistics support program—and Cradles to Crayons aims to assist Chicagoland families experiencing homelessness or poverty.
Cradles to Crayons (C2C) seeks to eliminate clothing insecurity among children.
