Center on Wrongful Convictions celebrates 25 years with documentary screening

Northwestern Pritzker School of Law's Center on Wrongful Convictions (CWC) is marking its 25th anniversary. Established in April 1999, the CWC has played a significant role in raising awareness about wrongful convictions. The center has helped exonerate over forty individuals across the United States.

To commemorate this milestone, the CWC will host an event on Thursday, November 7 at Rockwell on the River in Chicago. The event will feature the premiere of a documentary about the CWC and include an award ceremony and reception.

The celebration will honor Eric Blackmon, an exoneree, with the Jane Beber Abramson Award and Rob Warden, co-founder of the CWC, with the Thomas P. Sullivan Award.

Media representatives are invited to attend and can arrange interviews with exonerated individuals by contacting Shanice Harris at Shanice.harris@northwestern.edu. RSVPs should be sent to Shanice Harris by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6.
