The Chicago Blackhawks have announced the recall of defenseman Isaak Phillips from the Rockford IceHogs, a team in the American Hockey League. This move coincides with placing defenseman Alec Martinez on injured reserve due to a right groin injury.
Phillips, aged 23, has participated in one game with Rockford this season. Last season, he played a career-high 33 games with the Blackhawks, recording six assists. He also contributed 14 points, including four goals and ten assists, over 29 regular-season games with the IceHogs. Additionally, Phillips provided two assists during four Calder Cup Playoff games in the 2023-24 season.
The Blackhawks are scheduled to face off against the San Jose Sharks at the United Center tonight at 7:30 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on CHSN and available for listening on WGN Radio and Latino Media Network radio at 1200 WRTO-AM.
