Richard J. Daley College eligible for federal postsecondary success recognition program

Richard J. Daley College has been named among 200 colleges and universities eligible for the U.S. Department of Education's new Postsecondary Success Recognition Program. This initiative is part of the Biden administration’s “Raise the Bar” campaign, which aims to broaden the traditional view of higher education by focusing on equity, inclusion, and student success.

The program acknowledges institutions like Richard J. Daley College for their commitment to improving graduation and transfer rates, thereby aiding students in launching successful careers. The college's efforts are particularly focused on promoting social mobility and creating opportunities for underserved populations, including low-income students and students of color.

Being eligible for this recognition allows Daley College to apply for participation in a summit designed to educate educators on integrating comprehensive support systems into holistic advising practices. This initiative aims to guide students toward career success beyond just completing their education. The institutions selected for the program will be announced in 2025.

Daley College views this recognition as a testament to its impactful work on students, their families, and the wider Chicago community. The college remains committed to providing accessible, high-quality education as part of a national effort to make higher education more inclusive and transformative.
