Blackhawks finalize training camp roster with assignments to Rockford

The Chicago Blackhawks have made a series of roster changes as they prepare for the upcoming season. The team has reduced its training camp roster to 23 players, which now includes 14 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders.

Several players have been assigned to the Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League (AHL). Forward Brandon Baddock was released from his professional tryout offer and sent to Rockford. Defenseman Austin Strand was also released from his PTO and will join the AHL team.

Additionally, forwards Colton Dach, Cole Guttman, Frank Nazar, Zach Sanford, Samuel Savoie, and Landon Slaggert have been assigned to Rockford. On the defensive side, Louis Crevier, Ethan Del Mastro, and Kevin Korchinski will also head to Rockford. Goaltender Drew Commesso rounds out those moving to the AHL affiliate.

This reduction in roster size is part of the team's final preparations ahead of the new season.
