Two City Colleges employees join HACU's Enlace Mid-Level Leadership Program

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has announced the second cohort of its Enlace Mid-Level Leadership Program, including two employees from City Colleges of Chicago. Tatiana M. Gallegos, director of manufacturing grants at Richard J. Daley College, and Natalie Morales, testing coordinator at Wilbur Wright College, will join 52 other leaders from Hispanic-Serving Institutions nationwide in this program.

According to HACU, “the six-month leadership development program for mid-level college and university professionals is designed to increase the number, variety, and quality of Latino/a talent in leadership positions at Hispanic-Serving Institutions and in higher education overall.”

Participants like Gallegos and Morales will engage in programming that covers academic and student affairs management, regional institutional accreditation, diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as higher education advocacy issues. They will also have opportunities to interact with a professional search firm.

In her role at Daley College, Gallegos oversees grant funds within the Advanced Manufacturing Department. She collaborates with students, faculty, and industry partners to optimize grant resources and support the growth of manufacturing programs.

Morales manages a team of four employees as the testing coordinator at Wright College. She ensures that the Testing Center adheres to policies and that all exams are administered correctly with excellent student service.

Both leaders aim to strengthen their networks and skills through the Enlace Program to enhance support for City Colleges students.
