Blackhawks trim training camp roster to 41 players

The Chicago Blackhawks have made several roster adjustments as they prepare for the upcoming season. The team announced that defensemen DJ King and Austin Strand have been released from their professional tryout contracts (PTO) and assigned to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League (AHL). Additionally, goaltender Ben Gaudreau has been released from his amateur tryout contract (ATO) and also assigned to Rockford.

Forwards Gavin Hayes, Paul Ludwinski, Jalen Luypen, and Marcel Marcel have all been assigned to Rockford as well. Forward Nick Lardis has been assigned to the Brantford Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

These moves reduce the Blackhawks' training camp roster to 41 players. The current roster includes 24 forwards, 12 defensemen, and five goaltenders.
