Last week, BMO U.S. announced to have achieved a perfect score of 100 on the Disability Equality Index (DEI) and has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion, as announced. Vanessa Lewerentz, Chief Inclusion Officer at BMO, highlighted the company's strong commitment to disability inclusion, emphasizing that it aligns with their purpose of "Boldly Growing the Good in business and life" according to a press release by BMO.

“BMO’s commitment to disability inclusion is a prime example of how we carry out our Purpose, to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life,” BMO Chief Inclusion Officer Vanessa Lewerentz.

According to a press release issued on July 11, BMO U.S. has achieved a perfect score of 100 on the Disability Equality Index (DEI) for the eighth consecutive year, earning recognition as one of the Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion. The DEI, established by Disability:IN and The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), serves as a comprehensive benchmarking tool that enables companies to develop a roadmap for promoting measurable and tangible actions in achieving disability inclusion and equality within the workplace.

“BMO is dedicated to eliminating barriers to inclusion by continuing to build a diverse, equitable, and accessible culture. Achieving a score of 100 on the DEI for the eighth consecutive year is a testament to our continued focus and progress to building an inclusive society for our employees and the communities we serve,” Vanessa Lewerentz, Chief Inclusion Officer, BMO said, according to the press release by BMO.

The 2023 DEI assessment evaluates various aspects, including Culture & Leadership (30 points), Enterprise-Wide Access (10 points), Employment Practices (40 points), Community Engagement (10 points), Supplier Diversity (10 points), and Non-U.S. Operations (not weighted). This robust survey has proven to be instrumental in assessing disability inclusion efforts among Fortune 1000 companies, supporting their continuous improvement in this area according to a press release by BMO.

BMO's achievement on the Disability Equality Index showcases the company's ongoing commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility.
