Cities such as New York, Chicago and San Francisco, all of whom have sizable Indian-American communities, organize Holi events through local cultural organizations. During Holi, individuals partake in customary dances, music, cuisine and more. As Holi becomes more popular in the U.S., an increasing number of individuals, including non-Indians, have been reported to participate in the festival of colors nationwide. This year, Holi was observed March 8 across America, according to India Times.
